PROGRAM OBJECTIVE

Associate in Computer Technology  (ACT)

​

The ACT course is a two-year non-degree program leading to a diploma in Associate in Computer Technology. It is a ladderized program for Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Information Management courses.

The course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn the necessary skills to use the state-of-the-art computer systems to solve business and information systems related problems. It involves the teaching of different Programming Languages, Web Development, Database Design/Development , Networking and other computer programs. Upon the completion of the course, the students are allowed to choose the specific course they intended to pursue such as BSCS, BSIT, BSIM.Career opportunities include computer operator, application programmer, programmer/analyst, network manager, network administrator, applications specialist and web specialist.

The Associate in Computer Technology with specialization in Computer and Network Servicing (ACT-CNS) program aims to produce a graduate who:

 

1.  applies proficiently technical skills in computer and network servicing;

2.  copes with the advancements in technology;

3.  embodies desirable work habits and amiable personality;

4.  joins in IT-related activities that promote community development; and

5.  employs leadership abilities for remarkable performance.
